In October, representatives from the Miller Garden Club, the Friends of Marquette Park, and the Miller Beach Arts and Creative District came together to form the Community Public Art Committee with an intent to bring public art to Gary. Eight months later, two-year leases had been arranged, and three sculptures were installed! Thanks go out to Chicago Sculpture International, the three artists, the three charter organizations and their members who donated funds, the Miller Community Fund which provided financial support, Patrick Lee who donated the two concrete pads, the City of Gary, and the Parks and Recreation Department.
